Workshops
We are now offering various Camera Workshops so that you can understand your camera's features and functions more and get better photos! We offer an introductory Point'n'Shoot Workshop as well as an introductory DSLR Workshop. During the year we also offer Camera Workshops based on the current season! Please keep in mind that space is limited in each of our workshops. Workshops will run based on sufficient registration.

Sunday 6th May 2012 - Spring Photography Excursion
LOCATION: To be determined
This photography excursion allows participants hands on practice photographing the splendors of spring. We will visit several local locations throughout the day with each offering its own unique photographic opportunities. Locations will be determined closer to the excursion date due to the unpredictable arrival of spring. The excursion will run from 9am until 4pm with a one hour break for lunch.
COST: $65.00 + HST
Thursday 10th May 2012 - Shooting Fireworks & the Night Sky Photo Excursion
LOCATION: TBD
This hands on photography excursion will teach you the secrets of using time exposures to capture fireworks displays as well as stars and planets. Time permitting; we will also explore painting the landscape with light. You will learn how to determine and set the proper exposure for capturing scenes such as these, as well as the tricks to avoid blurry images.
Price includes fireworks cost. Rain or Wind date is Wednesday May 16th.

Sunday 27th May 2012 - External Flash Workshop - Level 1
LOCATION: Durham College
This beginner, hands-on class is designed to introduce the photographer to both the creative and technical aspects of using their external flash more effectively as both the main and secondary sources of illumination. You will learn how to balance your flash with ambient light, control the direction of your flash, use it effectively outdoors as fill flash, and how to increase the effectiveness of your flash.

Wednesday 30th May 2012 - Sunsets and City Lights Photo Excursion
LOCATION: Oshawa
This hands on photo excursion will help you master the art of properly photographing picturesque sunsets as well as the city at night. Time lapse photography will be explored. A strudy tripod is a must for this excursion.

Sunday 3rd June 2012 - Summer Photography Excursion
